Despite our best intentions, moving from concept to finished installation is never straightforward. To use an old cliché, we plan for the worst and hope for the best. In this case, the setback wasn’t fatal, but it caused us to rethink fabrics. COVID 19 has affected many industry segments. We purchase a number of our specialized fabrics on a just-in-time basis. Any delay in the shipping process throws us a curve…one that is challenging to overcome. In this case, we were informed that a particular fabric that we needed just wasn’t going to be produced in time. Our project manager working closely with our Designer Danielle Adams and our client, went into overdrive to source alternatives. And with hard work and diligence, we succeeded. Above-and-beyond actually with a new fabric that exceeded functional and design specifications. Now…back to that sit test.
